Marilou has been practicing as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 1972. She received her R.N. degree in 1968 and worked as a registered nurse for three years at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Neonatal Intensive Care. She then attended the pediatric nurse practitioners program in Boston, MA, associated with Northeastern University. Marilou’s interests include newborn care, ADHD/behavioral problems, foreign children and adoption, and injury-related concerns. Marilou is the owner of All About Children Pediatrics.
Marilou lives in Edina and has two spirited daughters, Kori and Kelsey. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and running. She has run three marathons in her career…none of which were very fast!
Marilou also has volunteered with Smile Network International Group, a humanitarian organization that provides life-altering reconstructive surgeries and related healthcare services to impoverished children and adults in developing nations and remains active and involved with similar organizations.
Most recently, Marilou was awarded the 2017 Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Outstanding Nurses Award in Lifetime Achievement.
