Well Visits And Sports Physicals

At All About Children Pediatrics, we consider well-child care to be the foundation for keeping children healthy. Regular well-child visits to the pediatrician are important for your child’s health and well-being. Preventive care promotes healthy growth and development.

At your child’s well check you can expect:

• Growth measurement (height, weight, head circumference for kids under 2)
• Vital signs
• Development screening
  • CDC: developmental milestones
  • Help Me Grow: developmental milestones
• Preventive care (discussions of nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc)
• Immunizations
• Vision and hearing screening (for kids 3+)
• Forms for school/daycare as needed (including sports physical forms)

Some concerns/issues may be considered outside the scope of a well-child exam and will be charged separately as an office visit. To allot enough time, you may be asked to schedule a separate appointment to discuss additional concerns. Some families only want covered preventive services at a well child visit, while others appreciate receiving all needed services at the same time (time permitting) without a separate visit. Please let us know when you schedule if you have additional concerns so we may schedule your child appropriately.
